      I have unpleasant experience with a freelancer from Ukraine. First everything was going well and then a person just disappeared. I don’t know what happened but after that I would not hire individuals remotely, not speaking of full teams. But maybe that’s only my personal luck issue.

      I know that Ukraine is a popular destination in terms of opening R&D centers and bigger enterprises send their local management team to set up the offices and control the quality of work but nowadays more and more companies are going completely remote as it’s better in terms of cost efficiency and more relaxed working atmosphere ,the only thing is that personal communication suffers here.

      Applicable only for large enterprises but a good reading for growing startups that need to put more money on developing their business. It’s enough to go with one or two devs working remotely and doing the project on their own but only if a company is mature enough to take care of the policy’s definition and deals with big projects, it may be useful.
